• Steel Trauma Insert - The Steel Trauma Reduction Insert consists of a 5x8 steel plate, with a nominal thickness of .072” inches. This Steel Trauma Reduction Insert, when used in conjunction with Point Blank NIJ certified armor, may help reduce the effects of trauma in the protected areas from bullet impacts, pointed objects, edged weapons, and impacts from the steering column in some automobile accidents.
• Flexible (Soft) Trauma Insert - The Flexible Trauma Reduction Insert consists of a matrix of flexible ballistic materials with a nominal thickness of .222” inches. The Flexible Trauma Reduction Insert, when used in conjunction with Point Blank NIJ certified armor, may help reduce the effects of trauma in the protected areas from bullet impacts, pointed objects, edged weapons, and impacts from the steering column in some automobile accidents. The Flexible Trauma Reduction Insert is encased in a water resistant cover.
