The SCAR Rifle System achieves complete ergonomic compatibility along with 99% parts commonality between platforms in the same caliber. The SCAR enhances individual officer effectiveness and simplifies mission capabilities, logistic support, reduces training time and minimizes armorer service downtime.
The SCAR's free floating barrels are quickly interchangeable by loosening six captive screws. All major windage and elevation adjustments are made at the permanently-attached front sight. Both US Government and manufacturer's testing prove that when a SCAR barrel is removed and then reinstalled, it will return within one minute of angle (1 MOA) to the previously established zero.
